What is Liquid Structure™ Technology?
Liquid Structure™ Technology has three characteristics that define it:
- Self-assembling; they don’t require expensive sonication, because their constituents are inherently stable in the form of a liquid crystal.
- Mesophasic; they exhibit properties of both liquids and solids.
- Amphiphilic; they have both hydrophobic and hydrophilic domains, so they allow hydrophobic substances (like CBD) to be dissolved in aqueous media like our digestive tract.
Because Liquid Structure™ technology has so many important overlapping properties, it is able to safely and efficiently be absorbed into many different environments, like the oily environment inside a softgel and the aqueous environment of our digestive system.

How is Liquid Structure™ different?
Liquid Structure preparations have a much smaller diameter:
The biggest difference between liposomal and Liquid Structure delivery systems is the reduced size of the vehicles themselves. Liquid Structure™ droplets are only 15 nanometers in diameter, allowing for more efficient delivery of their cargo through the wall of the GI tract. Recall that liposomes and micelles are between 100-1000 nanometers in diameter.
Liquid Structure preparations hold CBD on the outer surface of the molecule:
Another significant difference between liposomal and Liquid Structure delivery system is Liquid Structure Technology holds CBD on the outer surface of the molecule. This increases the availability to pass through the intestinal wall and directly enter the bloodstream.
Liquid Structure preparations are soluble in aqueous and hydrophobic environments:
Another key difference is the exclusive use of phospholipid molecules in liposomal preparations. Our Liquid Structure preparations are composed of both phospholipid and hydrocarbon molecules, which allows self-assembly as well as provides improved shelf life.
Liquid Structure preparations are self-assembling:
The most profound difference between Liquid Structures and liposomes is that liposomes are not self-assembling and they require an expensive process known as sonication, in which the mixture is exposed to ultrasound energy which catalyzes the formation of liposomes or micelles.
This process is expensive and complex, making it undesirable for use considering the mediocre performance of its final product. Because Liquid Structures are by definition self-assembling, they are produced with greater efficiency than liposomal preparations making them a more desirable vehicle for the oral delivery of CBD.
Why is Liquid Structure™ Better?
These differences make Liquid Structure™ preparations more efficient and desirable than liposomal preparations, but a fifth key difference makes them the superior choice to sublingual products: they achieve this increased bioavailability while being delivered in a familiar softgel.
Sublingual oils have many drawbacks including difficulty of administration, poor taste, and variable dosage size because the user fills the dropper themselves rather than swallowing a pharmaceutically-manufactured and consistently-dosed softgel.
